Washington hearing reveals 20 partners at J. P. Morgan & Co paid no income tax for 1921 and 1932 due to losses reported by the firm. Will Federal Farm Mortgage Relief Bill Help Farmers
Agricultural relief aims to ease mortgage burdens through a federal interpretation of the act. Mills Trial Set for June 12 in Perjury Charge
Preston citizen Mills, secretary treasurer of the Fillmore County Taxpayers League, faces perjury and another charge. Bull Attacks Harmony Man and Kills Him
The Harmony News reports the death of Ole T. Brokken a 49 year old man after a bull attacked him as he tried to capture the animal for shipment. He was tossed and rolled, suffered multiple broken ribs and severe bruising, and died after being brought to Harmony. Orville Saver son helped chase the bull away and saved Mr. Brokken’s life. The bull was eventually loaded onto a truck after three horsemen armed with pitchforks were needed to secure it.

Iowa Game Law Auditions Tighten Fishing Limits
Changes to Iowa fishing rules allow fifteen game fish per day with a maximum of eight pike trout or black bass. A total of twenty five fish may be taken daily including bullheads. Possession limits match two days’ catch. Males sixteen and over must hold a real dent’a license costing one dollar.
