Children of Lime Springs welcome Santa Claus on Saturday with a hearty reception. The Lime Springs Community Club distributes sacks of treats to each child, while in the foreground Santa holds Suzanne Williams, daughter of Mr and Mrs Emlyn Williams, as others pose to meet him.
Kate Owen Thomas known as Katie, born 1857 in Portage Wisconsin, moved with family to Lime Springs area, married Robert Thomas in 1900, children Albert Gwen and Gladys, Gladys deceased 1932, husband died 1942. She died December 24 1950 at Westminster Church Lime Springs after a cerebral hemorrhage leaving two grandchildren and four others. Funeral held December 27, 1950, interment at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Phyllis Olson of Rochester and Gene Jensen of York wed in a double ring ceremony at the Jensen home in York. Rev. Elmer Dihle officiated with family and friends attending. The couple plans to live in Rochester until Gene joins the National Guard.

Surviving are his wife and six children Victor of Casper Wyoming Charles of Lime Springs Rena Mrs Harry Rathbun of Spring Valley Julia Mrs John Miedema of Greenleafton.
