Hartungs Have Narrow Escape In Car Collision
Mr and Mrs Hartung of Osage were injured in a collision at the Highways 9 and 218 intersection four miles east of Osage. Anne W Hadbreth of St Paul Minn driver of the other car pulled out from the stop sign to the south, Hartung skidded forty feet. He and his wife received neck and mouth injuries and leg bruises but were treated at a medical clinic in Osage and released. Their 1988 Ford was a total loss. Mrs Hadbrath appeared to have back injuries, while Mr Hadbrath was not seriously hurt. He stated he did not see the other car before impact.

Two traffic crashes are reported near Cresco and Lime Springs with minor injuries. Jerome A. Samec of Cresco sustained arm cuts and bruises after his 1084 Ford truck overturned on a crest on the Cresco road. Damage estimated at 90.50. Virgil Rose of Barry, Minnesota, operating an International truck, collided with the Yost wagon near Lime Springs. no injuries, Yost vehicle damage about 300, truck tractor about 50.00. Both incidents investigated by Sheriff Percy Haven.

Services were at Greenleafton Reformed Church with burial at Church of the Brethren Cemetery. Also noted is funeral for Cletus J Owens 67 former Cresco resident who died Saturday and was buried at Calvary Cemetery with arrangements by Poeckosh Funeral Home.
