The Farmers Bank of Liberty reopened on Friday after a two week holiday granted by a government order. A telegram allowed operation with deposits continuing and withdrawals minimal, signaling the bank’s soundness and public confidence amid the store reopening.
The Community Club will hold its regular meeting at the opera house on Monday evening March 27. Mrs. Oren Hunsaker Mrs. Charles Beringer and Mrs. Minnie Linn are the serving committee.
Administrators sale of the late Edwin R Webel property will be at the Webel farm four miles east of Liberty on Tuesday March 28 at 10 AM. Items include a 1981 Studebaker truck four horses ewes a ram farm machinery tools fencing undivided interest in stocks and bonds and other articles. Lunch served by Pleasant View church ladies. The Home Science Club held its March meeting at Mrs. George Diehl's home with assistant hostesses Mrs. Bernard Swedell and Mrs. Cloyd McRae. Mrs. Fred Simon led a Garden ing topic and bulbs and seeds were exchanged. Mrs Sweden of Table Grove attended and quilts belonging to Mrs. Adam Lentz were on view. The April meeting is planned for the third Thursday in April at Mrs. Leonard Hyer's home. A social hour followed with refreshments.
Library rules from the Library Committee outline how many books may be checked out and how to handle returns. The rules require leaving books at the desk, writing the name on the return slip, returning within two weeks unless renewed, and treating library books as personal property.

Mrs Albert Wagg was operated on for appendicitis at Blessing Hospital on Monday morning.
