Death of David Russell Pioneer citizen dies after illness
David Russell longtime Lexington resident dies at 11 55 PM Sunday at 118 North 17th street after weeks of illness due to old age and debility. Born Cumberland Maryland January 1 1834 he was 80 years eight months and twenty days old. He lived in Missouri most of his life except Civil War years and supported local welfare. Survived by five sons Edgar J St Louis Walter W Lexington Ernest J Lexington David L Seattle Washington Henry G Fairfax West Virginia and three daughters Corine E Genevieve B and Mary J of Lexington. Funeral services conducted by Rev S O Hall from the home Tuesday at 3 PM.

Local Citizen Albert Goodwin Dies After Carbolic Acid Death
Citizens were shocked Friday when Albert Goodwin vanished this life by drinking carbolic acid at 4 PM. He died about thirty minutes later after failing health. Born 1864 near the city, he moved to Waverly in 1868 with his parents. He was 14, unmarried, and survived by sisters Mrs Alice Chartette and Mrs Byrd Cooper and brother Walter Goodwin. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at home, with burial in the Waverly Cemetery Gate.
