C., and is survived by a large family. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock.

Death of William B Ford in Lafayette County
William B Ford died Sunday at 8 pm at his brother W P Ford’s home. Born January 28 1845 in Danville Kentucky, he moved to Lafayette County in 1845 and lived there since. Survivors include three brothers C Y Ford Chas W Ford of Fulia Texas W P Ford the deceased’s home companion and two sisters Mrs Stella Beeding of St Louis and Mrs Elizabeth Barbour of Louisville Kentucky. Funeral held at the home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o clock with Rev Robt L Cowan Presbyterian pastor officiating.

Navy Enlistee William Oidtmann Dies of Influenza
William Fred Oidtmann, who enlisted in the Navy on July 17, 118, died at Great Lakes Training Station on Friday September 27 from influenza. He was the son of John Oidtmann of near Egypt bottoms. The body was sent to Lynn, Mo., for burial.

Morris son permanently injured after shrapnel wound
Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Morris have been informed by the Red Cross that their son Lieut. Morris, once wounded in the left leg by shrapnel, is permanently injured. He is on crutches but otherwise in good health and enjoying reasonable well being.

Burial for Ernest Bartlett at Summit Mine Home
The body of Ernest Bartlett who died from influenza at the Great Lakes Training Station on Tuesday morning arrived in Lexington Thursday night and was taken to his parents home near the Summit mine. The funeral was held there Saturday at 3 pm with military honors as a Wentworth squad fired the last salute and a bugler sounded taps.

Saturday night in Lexington a well known citizen failed to observe traffic rules at the corner of Tenth and Main and was detained by the Nightwakerman. In police court Monday it was suggested he purchase a $500 Liberty Bond to soften the judge. The defendant accepted the cue and the bond.

Auto Performs Miracle Four Boys In A Chevy Crash
Four county youths drove at Main and Thirteenth in a Chevrolet late Thursday, failed the turn, slid into a gulley and rolled four times. All four occupants escaped unhurt, with only a damaged top and windshield to show for the tumble. The car survived the wreck in fine style, proof of the little miracle.
