Mrs Louise George, formerly of this city, died at her home in Kansas City Sunday morning at 7 oclock. She was 80 years old and survived by three daughters Miss Louise George Mrs Lizzie Hendenmeyer and Mrs Guasie Middleton of Kansas City and Otto George of El Paso Texas. The funeral was held in Kansas City Tuesday morning after which the body was brought to Lexington for burial.
A Friday night show on December 9 will raise funds at Wentworth gym for Goose Pond graduating expenses. Officials expect top Lexington talent to perform, promising a premier program. Do not schedule another date for that night.
Marriage licenses have been issued to Fountaine Kincheloe of Lexington and Alma Hudler of Lexington. Charles J. Filler, Higginsville, and Emma Perestroff of Higginville received licenses. Gilbert Erdman of Alma and Bessie Pape of Malta Bend are also listed.

Slushers School District 10 and Page City School District 29 are selected as Demonstration Schools. Slusher will work with Lexington Superintendent L H Bell and the Lexington teacher training class plus Central Missouri State Teachers College at Warrensburg. Page City will collaborate with Higginsville Superintendent D W Branam and Higginsville teacher training class and Central Missouri State Teachers College at Warrensburg. Dr C A Phillips will visit Slusher Friday December 9 to address patrons, then speak at Page City Friday December 16. The college’s service to these schools is free.
Mr Fountaine Kincheloe and Miss Alma Hudler were married Sunday morning at 8 at the Christian parsonage with Rev B H Bruner officiating. They will honeymoon in Kansas City then reside in Lexington. The bride, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs M H Hudier of 823 South Street, and the groom, a longtime Be tnwinn resident, works at the Santa Fe Garage.
The Lexington Chamber of Commerce proclaims citizenship as both law obedience and useful service. Members pledge to serve the community and seek subscribers who will work for its best interests, asking for continued faith from readers.

The Missouri Journal reports that the second special session called by Governor Hyde will cost the state 33,000 for per diem and mileage plus contingent expenses, with 26,000 for the first item and 7,000 for the second. The total expenditure on the Legislature since Hyde’s inauguration reaches 449,000, topping the 296,000 record set by the regular session. The first governor-called session cost 121,000, aided by payrolls including spouses and children.
Making Fame For Missouri reports that at the annual meeting of the Association of Land-Grant Colleges in New Orleans more than ten percent of leaders were Missourians. Fourteen Missouri alumni occupied high offices in agricultural colleges across Alabama Arkansas Louisiana Missouri New York North Carolina Oregon Tennessee Kansas and Texas.
