The University of Missouri College of Agriculture dairy judging team placed fourth at the National Dairy Show in Chicago with sixteen rival schools. G C Davis of Joplin led the Missouri team, earning fifth overall and a gold medal. teammates were G R Skinner of Bethany and J G Wells of Aurora. The exhibit highlighted carotene coloring effects in milk, dairy herd photos, and long producing cows Alpha Elf IV and Grace Briggs with 103,292 and 104,055 pounds respectively. Scholarships and loving cups were awarded. show praised for the exhibition.
Rev. R. N. Allen will preach at Maple Glen School House Sunday afternoon at 38 o'clock.
Lexing ton residents are urged to donate to a Christmas Self Denial Belgian Fund aiding war affected children and the elderly left homeless. The list of contributors totals 31.00 with many gifts from local individuals. subscriptions may be left at Lexington Savings Bank. N. E. Baskett visited Kansas City for the day and Mrs J B Young traveled there for a visit with Mrs J R Moorehead.
Lexington Chapter No 10 Royal Arch Masons held an afternoon and night session initiating several candidates from Odessa and Dover. Odessa attendees included C L Frost R D Crank R W Powell M F Powell Ernest Powell A J Adair Sam Baggerly J H Kuehls G W Wakeman Chris Wagoner J G Lightner and Dr Clayton. Dover attendees listed Dr W G Harwood Ed Lay Rev T H Clayton Geo Zeyzing R P Cherry Lewis Wahl and John Wahl. Higginsville participants included Rev Xenophon Ryland Chas Wiley August Rabshal Al Fred Hoefer. A six o clock dinner was served at the hall.
Miss Maria Wood traveled to Kansas City on Wednesday for a visit, arriving by rail and planning sightseeing during her stay.
