Red Cross War Fund appeal calls for public support
The Red Cross, led by President Wilson and backed by Congress, calls for volunteers and funds to aid military and civilian relief. It pledges that every dollar for the War Fund goes to relief, with administration and non war relief covered by dues, and notes at least $1.02 in war relief per dollar contributed.
