A quiet Tuesday ceremony united William T. Wernwag and Laura Taubman at the Taubman home on North Sixteenth Street with Rev. R N Allen officiating. The couple, both active in local church and social life, then left for Kansas City. The day also marked the 45th anniversary of the Taubman marriage and Mr Taubman’s 69th birthday.

John Riley was arrested Friday for disturbing the peace and drunkenness and sentenced by Judge Harry Mountain in Police Court Saturday morning to 30 days in the city holdover of 15 minutes to leave the city. Riley left. Mathew Kenney of Kansas City arrived Saturday for a short visit with relatives.
The Wentworth soldiers beat the Kansas City Dental College 6 5 in a featured opener with Warren delivering a four inning start and a seventh inning homer. Lexington opened 6 1 against Ira Bidwell’s Red Sox as Leater Carmichael impressed fans, while Joe Howe’s triple and timely scoring boosted the locals. Batteries listed for both games cautionary.
Mrs Wm Mellor and her two children from Wayne Nebraska arrived Friday evening to visit her parents Mr and Mrs R B Berrie.
The Lexington Dairy Company announces a new model sanitary milk plant at the corner of Eighteenth and Franklin Streets. Led by M. C. McFadin, W. A. Esterbrook, Williams, and Davis, the facility uses a strict, chemical free process with clarifier, pasteurizer at 145 degrees, and rapid cooling. Bottling is automatic, with refrigerators for finished products. Equipment includes a 250 pound churn, 200 gallon pasteurizer, and steam boiler. The firm invites patrons to inspect the plant thoroughly.
The Lexington Music Club met on Monday April 24 and elected officers including Mrs Hubert Bates Director and Miss Winifred Winn Recording Secretary The civic department also elected officers for the ensuing year with Mrs Felix Young Director and Mrs J Q Cope Vice Director The club urges women to join and support town improvements.
James McDowell died by self inflicted gunshot at his 20th Street home Tuesday morning. He was forty, left a long note to relatives, and was described as troubled by dementia like symptoms. Mrs Elmira Atkinson, 83, died Monday morning in St Joseph Missouri. Born in Kentucky she lived in Lexington. The body was brought to Lexington Tuesday night and lay in the Baptist church until Wednesday morning. Services were conducted by Rev G G Riggan.
All Drunk, B. M. Rubey, J. H. Osborn and Chas Peterson were fined one dollar and costs for intoxication by Judge Harry Mountain in Police Court Tuesday morning.
Mrs J H Suddath of Harrisonville returned to her home Wednesday after a visit here with Mr and Mrs Owen Gaflin.
