Macon Georgia April 20 The Cunningham family of Oglethorpe is respected. A year ago an ad for a wife brought a Miss Cunningham into marriage. The bride later learned her husband was a Mormon who took her to Utah then to Mexico. She refused to go further, returned home with the boy, and a separation followed with the husband agreeing she keep the child fathered by a deceased wife.

Albany April 16 1889 attorney general opinion in the matter of Zeh and others of Brooklyn asking the state to commence an action in the name of the people to annul the charter of the Atlantic Avenue railroad company Richardson line The attorney general concludes that railroad corporations cannot refuse to perform public duties over disputes with their employer The duties must be discharged at any cost and may not be abandoned without state consent The state seeks judicial construction of statutes to settle ongoing conflicts between railroads and their employers and will apply to the court for leave to bring the action

After next Tuesday, legislators may earn only one dollar daily unless they secure five dollars by adjourning, amid calls for an extraordinary session. Gov.
