James D. Dillard Dead in Country Home Near Lexington
James Dillard died Tuesday morning at about six oclock from a complication of diseases at his country home east of Lexington. Born near Berlin Lafayette County about 44 years ago he was a son of the late James R. Dillard. He married Katherine Slusher October 24 1900. He moved to Lexington five years ago and to the country last month. Survived by wife two children a daughter 8 and a son several years old a brother Lee I in Colorado and grandmother Mrs Agnes Vaughn. Funeral Thursday at 9:30 from Lee J Slusher home with Rev BR B Biiney officiating. burial in Mappelah.

Court Returns Verdicts In Several State Cases
The criminal court convened Tuesday and heard State v Koppenbrink on illegal prescription, resulting in acquittal. State v Harris saw a guilty plea to prescription without patient name, with a $40 fine. State v Roy convicted of burglary and sentenced to five years. On Wednesday Vinson Tucker was found guilty of larceny and jailed two years, Chris Scott also found guilty with a $1 fine and six months in jail.

Henry Taegtbuehring longtime Lexington resident died Wednesday at 7 30 am at his Franklin Avenue home from old age. Born in Germany July 27 1838 he came to the U S as a young man. He married Adelaide Wernten May 27 1884 she died in 1596. Survived by daughters Miss Katherine and Carl funeral held yesterday at 1 80 from the German Evangelical church with Dr H M Lissack conducting.
