Concrete Silo Building Gains Favor in Missouri Farms
Missouri farmers increasingly build concrete silos as durable economical options. Reports show 100 ton capacities costing about 160 dollars in south Missouri with creek gravel, and 250 dollars in north Missouri using sand and hand labor. A 3100 ton silo in Macon County cost 350 dollars after material transport. The Missouri Dairy Department offers free concrete silo plans and expert supervision, with travel expenses covered.
