City council paves South Street remonstrance acted on
At Tuesday night’s meeting the remonstrance against paving South Street was disposed of and bids ordered. Work expected to start mid next month. Malin Street paving issues may be addressed similarly with a better contract possible. Waterworks proposal modifications discussed and Haerla plan to be voted July 25. Missouri State Building costs and architectural details outlined for the Louisiana Purchase Exposition, including dome, sculptures, and promenades. Building to be temporary, removal after the fair.

Progressive dominoes led to prizes tied among Lesale Bates Lillian Worthington and Hattie Gordon with Worthington winning a sterling silver spoon. Dow Hix won a grip tag for the gentlemen. Refreshments of Quaker ice cream cake coffee wafers and olives were served to about thirty six guests as Pinkie and Bettie Chinn and Master Coleman Hokle and little Elizabeth Eckle assisted.

Missouri Building Rotunda Plans for World Fair Hall and Exhibits

Formal Birthday Reception At Miss Sawyer's Home
Miss Fannie Sawyer received in formally Wednesday afternoon at her home south of Lexington in honor of Miss Mary Gantt of Jefferson City.
