County Court orders bridge work and bond payments
The June term convened with all officials present. The highway engineer is ordered to build a bridge near Linwood Lawn farm on the Lexington and Higginville road. Seven Snn-a-bar township bonds of 1000 dollars each at 4 percent dated August 1, 1905 are called for payment. Several bridge and culvert contracts are awarded to Canton Bridge & Structural Company Gray & Dooley Allen & Ritter Hartman Bros Dooley & Dooley and J F Bryants for numerous spans and lengths. Dover Telephone Co granted pole permission. Coroner’s inquests held. County Highway Engineer to supervise road dragging. John Walker becomes ex-officio county commissioner.
