Closing Of Public Schools In Lexington City
About twenty years of growth in Lexington public education included uniform courses, state links, and building programs with over 75000 dollars spent on quarters, a nearly 3000 volume library, and expanded teaching staff. A new annex to the high school and a ward school for colored children were funded, with occupancy planned for September.
