Major James Lyons longtime Lafayette county resident died Wednesday evening December 31 1913 at the home of Chris Pointer ten miles south of Lexington He was unmarried about 70 years old and survived by brothers and sisters Jobin Clinton David Elizabeth Mrs Frank Lankford and Mrs John Lyons The funeral was held Friday at 10 am with interment in Prairie church cemetery.
