Lexington residents plan suburban addition and electric line
About twenty citizens bought two tracts totaling around 50 acres from Chas Teubner and Judge John Burden south of Lexington. They aim to plat an addition, form a company to build an electric or gasoline street car to mines south of town, and extend to the Missouri Pacific station and Myrick. Subscriptions propose a 60000 capital, half paid up, with land purchased at cost. Major Hickman’s transfer at Wentworth Military Academy noted, with Col Cook remaining in Lexington and academy enrollment at a historical high.

George H Berghofer and Miss Mary McIntyre were married Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock in the home of Mr and Mrs Patrick McIntyre on North Tenth street with Father Qurry officiating. Attendants were Harry Mueller and Miss Lillian McIntyre. After light refreshments, the couple left at 6:20 for New Mexico for the winter. Berghofer, from Palmyra Missouri, has lived here six years and works as a heresy maker for G A Schmidt. The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Patrick McIntyre.

Death of 12 year old at Charlotte home
A 12 year old girl died Saturday night at her parents home Mr and Mrs Bliss Spruce in Charlotte. Funeral services were held Monday morning at the family home with interment in Munchpelah cemetery.

City Council Advances Prisoner Care and Contract Date
The council met an adjourned session with most members present except Boyle and Yingling. An ordinance extended the prison completion contract to February 1, 1907 and another repealed parts of ordinance No. 10 replacing provisions on prisoner housing. The board’s daily rate for prisoners was set at 45 cents and the prison keeper’s salary at £480 per year, with lodging and fuel provided by the city. The council will reconvene on Monday, November 14.
