Bicycle crash injures 14 year old on Bloom Street

Fire injures child during early morning blaze
Fire department rushed to Florence McCrocklin’s North 12th street home Tuesday around 9 00 a m. A six year old boy named Lawrence, grandson of Ballard Smith, died from burns before responders could rescue him. His sibling and the grandmother were saved after T Hunter forced a window and pulled them free.

Death of Arthur Kirtley on North Eighteenth Street
Arthur Kirtley died Sunday morning at 9 at his North Eighteenth street home from complications of diseases. Born January 21, 1861, he married Susan J. Rice on October 16, 1885 near Wellington. she died April 5, 1918. Survived by one sister, Mrs. Dora Bates of Davenport, Iowa. Funeral services were held at the Baptist church Tuesday afternoon at 2:80 led by Rev. Elias C. Miller assisted by Rev. J. E. Alexander.

Funeral Notice for Josephine Bradley in Kansas City
The body of Josephine Bradley, who died in Kansas City Tuesday night, was brought to Lexington Friday morning and taken to the home of George Payne near the McGrew mines. The funeral was held at 1:30 Saturday afternoon and interment was in Machpelah. Mrs. Howard Wilson of Amarillo, Texas, and Mrs. Logan Chappell of Kansas City, left for their homes Tuesday evening after visiting sister Nannie C. Steele. Mrs. C. E. Simmons of Moberly is visiting sister J. Allen Campbell and other relatives. Mrs. James Price went to Kansas City Friday for a visit.
