The Ward and Wade minstrel drawing a good crowd at the opera house Saturday night pleased attendees with a surprise for Mr. Wade. Friends presented him with furnishings after Ward spoke for Lexington supporters, as the duo left Lexington for Egisterville. A stranger named Charity Allen arrived in Texington Wednesday morning and was taken to Dr. Ryland for treatment. Allen was found in the woods northeast of Lexington and described as rambling about being chased before dying near a tree axle.
