Missouri Farmers Week at the University of Missouri January 11 15 features large premiums and cash prizes in corn and small grains classes. Exhibits may win farm implements valued 35 to 120 dollars and honors to advance to the Panama Pacific Exposition. Missouri expects a large attendance and strong participation from boys 10 to 18 with cash prizes in several classes.

Prohibition Lost in House Vote on Hobson Resolution
The Hobson resolution to submit a constitutional amendment for national prohibition failed in the house on Tuesday with 189 against and 197 for. The debate stretched over more than 10 hours as two thirds was required for adoption. Congressman Courtney W. Hamlin of the seventh district supported the measure. Also noted are holiday trips by Mrs. Nannie C. Steele and family to Kansas City and visitors including Clarence Linden Vivion from Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri, and H. E. Maghan and his son James Edward joining others for holidays.

Death of John Reinhardt In City Dies After Prolonged Illness
John Reinhardt, an old and highly respected city resident, died Saturday at his Washington avenue home after a long illness of nervous prostration. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Chas. Weed at the Episcopal church Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock.

Six month old Julian Labbo, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Labbo near Myrick, died Sunday at 3 30 AM. Funeral held Monday at 2 PM. Miss Josephine Shelton returned from Dodge City, Kansas, where she taught, to spend holidays with her parents Prof. and Mrs. J. C. Shelton.

Flour for Belgians shipped from Lexington to seaboard
On Contribution Day 100 sacks of flour will be sent from Lexington to St. Louis where the Missouri cargo will be assembled for shipment to Belgium's stricken people. Donations in Lexington came from all classes, showing universal sympathy for Belgians.
