Save Late Cabbage From Worms

The green cabbage worms are abundant this summer. Protect late crops in home gardens by dusting or spraying with arsenate poison. Mix one pound powder with 50 gallons of water and a small amount of soap to help spread. Reapply after heavy rains or as new leaves appear. For commercial cabbage, weekly or ten day treatments are advised where pests are plentiful. The poison is taken in by worms along with cabbage and kills them quickly.
