Gladith Commission Co reports cattle supply too high this week and dull trade. Prime heavy cattle fell 10 to 25 cents per cwt from last Tuesday as prime prices dropped to about 5.25 to 5.60 per cwt. Light cattle held around 4.00 to 6.10. Best export cattle ranged 5.25 to 5.60, cows and heifers eased despite overall high fat proportions.

City Council Minutes Reflect Routine Meeting Actions
At the regular monthly meeting on Monday night the recorder, collector, calaboose keeper, and treasurer reports were received and filed. Salaries for the month were allowed. The claims were approved. Water fund money was ordered paid to the company and the Electric Light Company bill of 8184.75 was approved. Manager Barnard said repairs on the second engine would be finished in about ten days.

Government Building at World’s Fair Plans Detailed
The United States Government Building designed by James Knox Taylor will sit on the high ground southeast of the Mines and Metallurgy Building. It features monumental approaches, a 100 foot wide central stair flight with statues, a 45 by 125 foot platform with exedrae, two 50 foot side flights, 30 foot ramps, and a ramped hill with inscribed slope. The central dome will be 100 feet in diameter, atop a 175 foot tall quadriga, with sculptural adornment symbolizing the republic and Arts of Peace. The building will be white with restrained sculpture, staff material, and Pantheon-like dome styling. Separately, a verdict for plaintiff Mary Quinlan in a Kansas City case awarded $1,000. Blackwell & Son and Ralph Latshaw represented Quinlan, while William Aull, Judge John Welborn, and Joe Williams acted for Kansas City.

Returned from first tour W. M. A. baseball team posted a 16 to 1 win over Kemper School at Floonville.
