Political gossip and editorials from a Virginia paper
A stray collection of political commentary and scuttlebutt cites McKinley, Morgan, and Taft era figures. It references Barley & Company, Oyster Bay, Senator Jones of Nevada, Mayor Tow L Johnson of Cleveland, and attitudes toward tariffs, trusts, and the Transvaal crisis. The tone is caustic and speculative about party machinery and upcoming nominations.
