Nichols received orders from Adjutant-General Sale directing the VMI cadet corps to travel to Staunton next Saturday the 28th to take part in the home coming and birthday celebration of President-elect Woodrow Wilson. A special train will depart Lexington at 7 a.m. and return from Staunton at 6 p.m.

First Snow of the Season Blankets Town After Night Storm
The first snow of the season covered the ground in three inches this morning. An alarm of fire just before noon was caused by a stove in the rooms of Mr. C I Devine behind the Rockbridge Bank on Nelson Street. Firemen who arrived found little damage.
Santa Claus Makes Weekend Stop at Weinberg's
Hundreds of children and adults gathered Friday afternoon at 4 30 p m in Weinberg's to greet Santa Claus and receive gifts. A rush formed as presents were handed out and pennies were scattered in the street prompting a scramble by boys of both races in the post office alley.
