Distributing the Ballots in Nez Perce County

Auditor Stookey and Deputy Burke left to distribute official ballots among judges of election in Nez Perce County. Total ballots printed this year are 10,000 for 26 precincts with 15 having over 50 voters and two ballot boxes. Indian outlaw Lewis Williams Killed in Kooskia Row

Report from Kooskia states Lewis Williams, known as the Indian renegade, died after a drunken quarrel at Sam Pueblo's place last night. Williams, a Nez Perce figure noted as dissolute, recently dissipated after studies at Carlisle and Columbia.
