Homicide at Quartzburg claims Chamberlin lives

In Quartzburg last Friday evening a man shot Halsey W. Chamberlin at Mrs. Mosher house after a brief visit by McIrwin. Chamberlin was shot in the breast and back, staggered to a saloon, and died before Dr. Rothwell could reach Placerville three miles away. Mrs. Mosher identified her husband C. B. Mosher as the shooter. A third shot was fired but missed.
