Waha Deal Station At McCall’s Ferry Plans Revealed

Upper Works to be completed before snow flies under the Lewiston Waha irrigation project. Lake Waha to be filled to 125 feet, a 2615 foot tunnel to drain water 85 feet below the lake, irrigating 20 000 or more acres between Clearwater river and Tammany hill. Sen Dubois and Trainer-led investors to begin upper ditch work after frost, with an electric road to move crops to Northern Pacific at Lewiston. Public notice of franchise discussions with city council to follow.

Land dispute over 160 acres near Fletcher on reservation

The case of John A Moore versus Odel D Meeke has been in the local land office since Friday noon and will be decided today. The dispute concerns 160 acres near Fletcher on the reservation. Elmer Bower of Leland plans to move his family to Lewiston this spring and will head wheat in Tammany country this summer.
