Twin Falls Lots Sold Rapidly as Townsite Expands
Boise March 13 Thomas Costello reports Twin Falls Townsite Company sold 65000 dollars worth of lots in three days from March 1 to March 4 in addition to numerous private transfers. Seventy carloads of lumber were sold in January and more would have been moved if delivery were possible. 125 freight teams haul lumber and freight between Shoshone and Twin Falls. Rails are laid on the Minidoka branch and expected to reach the river this week. Short Line chief engineer says the line should reach Twin Falls in June.

Walla Walla wheat man W H Babcock reports fine condition of Eureka flat and Columbia river district wheat. He notes light dryness but expects rain. Spring work underway, with 100000 bushels sent east last week. Babcock logged nearly 100000 bushels last year, sold half at 95 cents, still holds 50000 bushels blue stem. He is breaking 2500 acres at Trinidad ranch, one of state’s largest, totaling 33000 acres. He farms 11500 acres on Eureka flat, planning 5000 acres in crop this year.
