Professor Preston W Search arrives in the city and will lecture at the Normal auditorium tonight on The Greatest Pictures in the World. He is a popular educator with broad world travel and will present stereopticon illustrations.
Inspector Mullins visits Lewiston to finalize free delivery against two routes two daily deliveries and two box collections with five armed hours. Mail distribution will shift by Spokane and Clearwater lines, with boxes placed for easy access and public adoption expected as the system grows.

Sheriff Schuldt returned from Portland with Susie Daily, charged with robbing Frank Necre of $1020. The accused fled to Portland, then a writ of habeas corpus failed in municipal and district courts. Sheriff Schuldt secured the prisoner Wednesday and she will be tried before Justice Coburn Saturday.
The city council considered bids on 44 200 feet of pipe including 4200 feet 16 inch steel and 26000 feet of wood pipe in various sizes. Naylor and Nerlin bid on part and Pacific Coast Pipe Co. on 16 and 8 inch wood pipe with total around 30000 dollars. Bids for trenching and laying the pipe set for opening March 23.
