A modern hotel for Lewiston with 100 rooms is proposed costing 75 000 to 100 000, with a local investor offering to build or sponsor stock and lease terms. Plans mature with promising prospects.

Northern Pacific to start daily freight on Clearwater Line
Daily freight service will begin on the Clearwater Short Line and Lapwai branch on or after May 2 as traffic increases. Agent Jordan was notified this week. The railroad currently runs tri weekly trains from Lewiston on Mon Wed Fri and returns Tue Thu Sat. The new daily service aims to handle higher traffic.
