Hypnotist Newman to Perform at Lemmon Armory Dates
The Peerless Hypnotist Newman will present three evenings of entertainment at the Armory Opera House on Thursday Friday and Saturday November 3 4 with new features debuted in the west this season. Reputed from across the state he offers dramatic sketches and impersonations from notable orators and poets, with hypnotic demonstrations suitable for all ages and especially appealing to ladies. Tickets cost 25 and 50 cents and the event promises solid fun. Also the Presbyterian ladies society hosts an oyster supper at the church on Thursday evening November 2 starting at 5 o'clock inviting all attendees.

The First State bank of Lemmon issued its annual finances showing total assets of 219,094.08 with 19,021.07 cash and due from banks, deposits at 177,486.26, and loans and discounts of 155,110.76 steadily being reduced toward Christmas. The Meadow State bank branch reports 9,132.42 cash on a 41,668.42 total. The Daviston branch leads in strength with 20,000 due from banks, over 60 percent of its total assets.

Manslaughter Verdict and Dismissals Reported
A jury found Jorgenson guilty of manslaughter in the second degree for the last spring stabbing of John Stefak in Whitthig. He was sentenced by Judge Carpenter to four years in the penitentiary. The case against Albert Smalley was dismissed after main witnesses failed to appear, ending all criminal charges in Perkins County. Smith was also convicted on petit larceny and sentenced to 30 days in the county jail.
