School Districts Reform Talks And New School Plans
Tuesday representatives from recently carved Adams County District No 1 met with Superintendent Davis at the State-Line Herald office to seek amicable debt and property division. Gilstrap District plans a full return to regular schooling with contracts awarded for three new schoolhouses totaling 1725. Hettinger District approves plans for a five room school built for future expansion, brick construction and future steam heating. Bonds of 5500 authorized last election fall short of project costs, leaving the board unsure how to proceed.
