Storm Hits Lemmon Area with Property Loss and Fire

A Tuesday evening storm brought gusts and limited rain to Lemmon. Chimneys toppled, stalls twisted, and Sundahl’s window shattered. Holway homestead burned after the storm, with fire spreading to nearby ruins. A barn southeast of town collapsed and ten horses were affected. Local businessmen Rawaland Finch Cooper Bennett and Heinrich traveled to Huron for the Traveling Men’s convention, carrying Lemmon Commercial Club credentials and inviting attendees to Lemmon for next year’s county meeting.
