Rancher Charles R. Hall Dies En Route to Aberdeen
Charles W. Hall a prominent rancher from Meadow area died Sunday near Catlin while en route to Aberdeen for brain abscess surgery. He was about 38, survived by a widow and two children. Funeral held at Presbyterian church with many ranchers in attendance. Pallbearers named A W Anderson John Anderson Alex Rail Peter Culbertson Wm Culbertson Delshaw. Weather notes from November describe mild start, then cooling and snow with about 9 inches total and .60 inch precipitation.

Death Visits Mrs Florence Bovee in Typhoid Battle
Florence Bovee died Saturday December 4 after nine days of typhoid fever. She was born September 13, 1890 near Fort Yates and spent most of her life in Minneapolis before marrying W. A. Bovee two years ago. The funeral was held Monday at the Presbyterian church with Rev. Williams officiating and interment at Leamon cemetery. She leaves an infant daughter and a bereaved husband who had just recovered from typhoid himself.

She Would Be a Widow at Smitha Opera House
Local amateurs stage a three act comedy She Would Be a Widow at Smitha Opera House on Monday December 2. The production features about twelve characters and follows the success of Captain Racket with hopes of entertaining the Lemmon audience. Henry Finbranten brings a bride from Madison Minnesota Miss Emma Alan whom he wed August 26. The Finbrantens will reside on the bride’s North Lemmon township farm. Reverend J J Enge visited Morristown and helped organize a Baptist church to serve the new Morristown congregation amid strong local support.
