Mass Meeting on Utah County Light & Power Stock Vote
At a November 17 1908 mass meeting in Lehi Mayor Jobin Roberts chaired the session to decide increasing the Utah County Light & Power Company capital stock and for the city to back the new plant proposal. President A J Evans outlined costs facilities and projected power output with a canyon site two miles away and a 6100000 price tag. The plan envisions 200000 stock and public funding, with American Fork residents showing support. The meeting adjourned after officials were authorized to direct the company representative to vote for the proposed stock increase and city participation.

Historic painting found in New York vault
A very old painting in a Lincoln Sofa Deposit vault on Forty second Street is claimed to be an unfinished Raphael work, possibly the Last Supper. It supposedly disappeared during the 1527 Spanish pillage of Rome, later owned by a Spanish sailor near New Orleans, and now with Samuel O. Trudall who will take it to Europe for appraisal.
