Private Pumping Plants Near Lehi Irrigate Utah Valley
J Ue Meter operates a private pumping plant on the west shore of Utah Lake at Lehi to lift water from the lake for irrigation. The facility uses a centrifugal turbine and electric power to raise water to about 80 feet, enabling gravity flow to fields in the Acker Meifer, J M Snow, and A J Mr Porter Walls areas. Other private plants in the region include operations north of the mounds and near Pelican Point with plans by Ramer, I Carmichael, and Evan Angely, who recently wed and traveled with his bride to a lake ranch. The district attracts new residents and ongoing irrigation development in Utah.
