Visit to Scranton Mine in North Tinté District

A trip to the Scranton mine reveals Lehi boys at work there including T. M. Bushman and son Win Ashton Henry Bast Samuel Hutchings and others. Superintendent Fred Butler greets visitors as the mine ships about 1200 tons of dine ore monthly with four four horse teams hauling ore to Del Monte five miles away. The mine also produces a lead ore at a little.

Wingville Quarry Expansion Under John Wing’s Direction

In Wingville the American Steelling Co. quarry under John Wing sees about fifty workers, many from Deli. Construction includes a steel 8D Topliff line, bunk houses, and power facilities as the site prepares to ship large quantities of lime rock. Foundations for an ore rock crusher are underway and some rock is hauled to Evan's switch for smelter shipment.

He served in Virginia country districts for nearly a year before moving to Chattanooga and Tidependence to lead the mailing department. Salt Lake High Cadets to Camp Near Lehi This Summer

Salt Lake High School cadets prepare for an encampment near Lehi after years at Lagoon. About 200 march from Jane Land Walk to the camp for two weeks of drills, sham battles, target practice, athletics, and baseball games. High School Day will feature a camp excursion and banner events. Rose Tree Spray Formula for Small Green Bugs

A published formula from Mr Larson of the Experiment Station proposes a spray for rose trees. It mixes half a pound of tail soap with hot water, then adds two gallons of kerosene and ten lines of water to produce a creamy emulsion.
