Lehi City Sabbath Ordinance Against Sunday Labor
An 1808 Lehi City ordinance declares Sunday outdoor work and most business open in the settled city limits as a punishable offense with fines up to twenty five dollars and up to twenty five days in jail. Barber shops may open until 10 p.m. on Sunday. The act repeals Sec 160 of Chapter XXVII and takes effect after publication. Mayor John S Wirkus and City Recorder Edward Southwick certify the copy.
