Relief Society Marks Sixtieth Anniversary with Pioneering Addresses
The Relief Society celebrated sixty years since its Nauvoo founding with Rome Short Addresses and biographical sketches of prominent members. Rebecca Standring read diary passages from Mother Whitney and Mrs Kimball recalling past feasts and divine manifestations. Members recalled the Prophet Joseph Smith, Zina Young Smith, and early leadership. a large audience enjoyed a community supper and late-night dancing.
