A Lehi community gathering led by Mayor Webb elected Jas Fyffe secretary and Dr M Stookey chair of the general committee to organize a Fourth of July celebration. Garland residents will join, with bands, a baseball game, a dramatic production, and a town serenade. A breakfast reception and flags decoration are included with extensive volunteer committees listed.
The Melodrama My Partner's Wife by T. H. Edne management will be staged at the Opera Hone Ties on the evening in July for the Fourth of July fund. The club reports success with their Garland plate and many cast members are former Lehi residents. Funds go to the Fourth celebration via the General Committee. The cast includes H Edwards Clayton Major Henr Clay Britt A Gleason Matthew Bini and others with specialties by IL Bush and Marie Wing. Acts span Mount Shaste Golden Cine Hotel and Golden Gate Hotel parlor with brief intermissions.
The City Council met in special sessions last night and decided to purchase Lehi’s share of the new stock in Utah County Light and Power Co. Lehi’s portion totals 82594.00. A new culvert will be installed in the New Survey ditch where it crosses the road near Thomas F. Jones’ farm.
William R. Sharp reported a saddle horse stolen from his property yesterday morning around eight. A man seen near the Co op and Station may have taken it. a dog alerted Sharp's family at home. A horse matching the description was later seen near Longi measuring grove. Authorities alerted and county sheriff notified.
Fire started by a boy stepping on a match at the former residence of Joseph Ashton. Lace curtains, a white frame, and part of the carpet were burned. Water from a nearby source quickly extinguished the blaze, averting a full house fire for a time.

Agricultural Superintendent Geo Austin visited Lehi on Monday and Tuesday. He reported the beet crop from Sevier to Garland is exceptionally strong, with Garland expected to set a record. The rest year boosted prospects as land rested and crops were light, signaling one of the best beet seasons observed.
Mine Amy Larson daughter of Oli Larson foreman at the Experimental Station and Anton Hanson formerly of Ephraim Utah wed at the Salt Lake Temple on Wednesday. A reception is planned at Ola Larson’s home Friday evening for the couple.
Jas M. Anderson, longtime teacher at Setil High School, moves to Salt Lake. A Tuesday social at Central School honored him with a program and refreshments before he departs Wednesday for Ball Lake to begin his new home.
