Old Folks Outing At Apollo Hall Draws Crowd

About 115 elderly residents attended the Stake Old Folks gathering yesterday at Apollo Hall. A banquet and program were held, with a lively time noted by attendees. Notable guests included Phil Margotia and R. Savage of Salt Lake City.

Commercial Club Discusses Waterworks For Lehiane

A special meeting at the Commercial Club discussed membership and the city’s water needs. Members voted to study waterworks for Lehiane and to consider city control of all water within the limits. A follow up session is set for Saturday evening, June 22, at the club rooms.

Smoke Consumer Demonstrated at Sugar Factory

A smoke consumer demonstration was held at the Sugar Factory last night showing a pressure blower driving smoke into a machine that consumes it and its sediment. The apparatus worked, but the necessary machinery to operate the consumer full time was not yet secured and plans for the company’s next steps will be decided soon.

Lehi Defeats Heber In Low-Scoring Baseball Tilt

In Lehi at City Park Teber game saw no score through six innings. Lehi tallied three runs in the seventh with two on errors, added another in the eighth, sealing a complete shutout of Heber. The purse was 150 dollars. Today Lehi faces Eureka at Spanish Park and Friday hosts Draper for a larger purse.

Provo Hosts Annual Commercial Travelers Outing

Provo in Utah likely to observe a county holiday June 21 as the United Commercial Travelers hold their annual outing. The event features indoor and outdoor sports, parades, speeches, auto racing, baseball, foot races, basketball, horse racing, theatres, concerts, and dancing with Provo invited to close stores for the day. Morgan Howell left a mission to England arriving in Liverpool on May 9. He spent two weeks in Wales visiting relatives and was appointed to a minor role in the London Conference at Portsmouth. Lehi School Board Offers Five Week Kindergarten Course

The Lehi school board plans a five week kindergarten course starting Monday June 17 in the Primary Building for district children aged 4 to 6.
