Old Folks Day Celebrated at City Pavilion

On Wednesday December 4 Old Folks Day gathered at the City Pavilion at noon. About 200 participants enjoyed four and a half hours of feasting and music with the Old Folks Committee warmly hosting. William Southwick led the welcome, with remarks by Prof A J Evans and performances by TR Savage G B Margetts and others.

High School Notes and Upcoming Events

Miss Seeley returns after a two week absence. Jesse Woodhouse transfers to Toligh School from Tdalia. Gerald Taylor joins a rival loan institution. The first League Basketball game of the series is set for Lehi on December 15 against Spanish Park. COT Williams of Provo visits the high school on Tuesday. Postmasters W. Ross will address the student assembly on Thursday. A. Evans is the guest speaker next week.

Austin Family Reunion Honors Fathers at Bank Building

The John Austin family gathered December 3 1907 at the Bank Building to celebrate the 44th birthday of their father. A business meeting, resolutions for deceased members, a grand dinner, address by Jas. Kirkham, and music followed with over 200 present. Officers elected include Geo Austin president and Parley Austin treasurer. Remember Chipmans draw with every dollar spent during their big year end sale.
