DCE SAT HEARING FOLLOWS BOILER CASE VERDICTS

In a Lebanon court during March 1907 a jury faced suits against Hoch or Houser and Himmelberger. Himmelberger seeks 3000 damages for head injuries from rat tongs hurled by Houser at Standard boiler works. Verdicts later favored plaintiffs in some cases while others moved to judgment, with trials continuing on steam heater disputes and liability for bad installation.

Woman Falls Through Skylight at Leather Store

Misa Sugie Ream of Chestnut Street narrowly escaped serious injury when she fell through a skylight at George Weather's leather store, 720 Cumberland Street, about 10 am. While sweeping the skylight, a misstep shifted weight, breaking glass and sending her to the floor. A loose board below aided her fall, leaving cuts and bruises but no broken bones. she was unconscious briefly and later recovered at the nearby Graybill residence.

Small Fish Distribution Planned by Lebanon Group

A notice from A. C. Hersh president of the Lebanon County Fish and Game Protective association states that tomorrow afternoon ten cans of small fish will be delivered from the Orrasdale state hatcheries at Holmes-Durg. Five sunfish and five catfish will be distributed by association members.

Straw Stack Burned on Dr Amimon Farm Near Stouchsburg

A large straw stack on Dr Jacob Ammon's Reading area farm near Stouchsburg caught fire Wednesday afternoon. The stack stood near the barn and was saved along with other buildings after a village hand engine and about 100 residents fought the blaze. The tenant, Adam Troutman, tended the property as flames consumed the stack.

Jurors Warned to Stay in Court in Lebanon County

Jurors summoned for Lebanon County courts were warned by Judge Bhrgood at noon to remain in attendance until adjournment or risk penalties.
