Myerstown Pennsylvania May 9 operetta In the Garden of the Shah a romance of Persia in three acts was staged last evening in the high school auditorium by students under Miss Lillian Stufft. Dorothy Leman played piano, Herman Shenk stage managed, Cyrus Beckey and Walter Hicks lit the show. A large audience attended and Miss Stufft received carnations for her work.

Woman fires six shots at Burg Theatre in Vienna
At the Burg Theatre in Vienna last night a 23 year old woman Mencia Karniciu fired six shots into a box during Peer Gynt. She killed Todor Arnautovitch Panizza, 46, and wounded two others. She claimed revenge for 1923 Bulgarian murders and was arrested. The Bulgarian ambassador said neither victim nor assailant were known at the embassy.

Robbery Suspects Held in Camden Jewelry Firm Theft

Phmeister Kills Wife Then Ends Own Life In Onawa Hotel
Charles Phmeister sixty of Topeka Kansas shot his wife Marie forty five to death in their room at the Park hotel Onawa Saturday and then killed himself. Marie was shot three times through the chest while asleep. The pair arrived on a train Friday with only three dollars found. An inquest will be held this afternoon by George H. Keating Onawa undertaker.
