Fire Destroyed Noggle Garage at Rexmont
Lightning set the two story Noggle garage at Rexmont ablaze Sunday at 8 30 p m. The loss exceeded 1500 dollars per William Noggle. Four autos and two trucks were stored inside but were saved by Rexmont firemen including a Haynes sedan a Willys Knight sedan and an International delivery truck. The Rexmont fire truck aided the effort and two other resident vehicles were removed. Fire department chemicals linger on page two.

Lightning Kills Three Cows and Calf Near Fontana
Alfred Gingrich, a young farmer near Fontana, lost three cows and a calf in a Saturday evening electrical storm. The cattle, after milking, were in pasture near a wire fence when lightning struck the fence and followed it to the herd. The cows collapsed in a heap. neighbors and Mr. Gingrich found them dead, casting sympathy toward him as he just began ring business this spring.

Frank Fox Fatally Injured in Auto Accident Near Myerstown
Frank Fox a 44 year old butcher from Hamburg Berks county died at Good Samaritan Hospital after a Sunday evening wreck on the Penn Highway west of Myerstown. His wife Mae and Elmer Miller and his wife were injured as their car rolled over on a very wet road after starting home in heavy rain. Fox abdomen and ribs were punctured and broken. Miller suffered several fractured ribs. the women received cuts and bruises. Doctors treated all at the hospital after responders rushed to the scene.

Drowned crew of Gloucester schooner after fog collision with Tuscania
Twenty four sailors aboard the Gloucester fishing schooner Rex were cut to fourteen dead when the 102 foot vessel collided with the New York bound steamer Tuscania in dense fog hundreds of miles off Cap Race.
