Pneumonia Claims Beloved Lebanon Citizen Jonathan Seidel

Jonathan R. Seidel, a well known Lebanon resident born in Berks County in 1832, dies at 71 from pneumonia after a long illness. An iron mill worker turned city leader, he served as Recorder of Deeds and was active in St John’s Reformed Church and Union Fire Company. He leaves a widow, four children, two grandchildren, and a great granddaughter.

Swatara Township Names Teachers for Vacancies

Consecration Services for New Parish Building

Tahor Reformers Dedicate New Organ With Choir Cantata

The Tahor Reformed church held morning afternoon and evening services to mark the organ dedication. Rev Bremer spoke in German and Rev DeLong in English while James Bekenroth led the organ accompaniments and Miss Jena Miller and others sang.
