Charles D Weirick led the preparations and the hotel proprietors were praised for the menu.
The eighth annual convention of the Young People's Christian union of the East Pennsylvania confarency of the United Brethren church opened in Ephrata Lancaster county Tuesday afternoon. About 150 delegates attend from Dauphin Lebanon Lancaster Berks Chester Montgomery and Philadelphia. Rev H C Roop president of Lebanon Valley College presides over three days of exercises. An address was given by Rev E C G Essier of Lancaster. Tuesday night features the president’s annual address and a talk by Ray C. Harburt of Coatesville.
Mrs Eva Weener died in Chicora Pennsylvania on June 13 aged 1? years. She was a former Fredericksburg resident and mother in law of F W W Bachmen who moved there last year. The death was due to general debility and she was known in the northern county. Relatives in Ohio and Lima plan visits.
