associated with the Anthracite Coal business in Lebanon and surrounding coun ties for More than forty years and known also in club and other similar social circles died suddenly about 3 Oclock Friday afternoon at his Home at 1104 Cumberland Street he suffered a mild heart condition for several years but it was intensely aggravated nearly three weeks ago after a business trip to Wilkes Barre he contracted a cold with a serious threat of pneumonia since then he was restricted to the second floor of his Home by a physician but was not entirely confined to bed he appeared to be vastly improved last week and was looking Forward to a resumption of his usual Active tie next week when after shaving himself on Friday afternoon he suddenly fell to the bathroom floor his wife heard the thud and ran to his Aid and called a doctor but life was extinct before the physician could reach the Home or Peifer was Horn and reared Here the son of Cornelius and Mary Jane Sattazahn Peifer another son Paul residing at Annville is now the sole survivor of that Branch of the family after leaving school he took up salesmanship of Coal for a local wholesaler later he became affiliated with the Maderia Hill Coal company As a travelling agent and he continued with that corporation for Twenty six years ten years ago he engaged in the Coal brokerage business in which he was associated with different companies but for four years past was connected with the Oak Ridge Coal company of Cherryville he was prominent in Bowling circles some years ago and rolled a wicked Ball on different league teams with which he played at different times of his wife Lucy e Hoffman Peifer he leaves a daughter by a previous marriage wife of n l Foreman of Kingston a she and her Hus band arrived Home several hours after her father died or Peifer was a member of Salem Church and was affiliated with most of the masonic organizations it Olivet Lodge no 70 the Reading consistory and Rajah shrine he was a member of business relationships mrs Henry Finnegan Dies in Hospital Here mrs Ellanora Finnegan Nee wife of Henry r Finnegan of Grantville r d 1 died on saturday afternoon at a Lebanon Hospital after a Brief
