Tragic Roller Accident Claims Narrows Boy Robert Reber
Eleven year old Robert Henry Reber, son of Mr and Mrs William Reber, was killed Wednesday afternoon when he fell beneath a horse drawn roller while helping his grandfather James Blatt in a field near the Narrows. Coroner Dr Gimgrich of Fredericksburg noted uncertainty about exact cause, suggesting possible bolting horses or feet catching in machinery as factors. The boy, a fifth grade student at the Narrows school, is survived by his parents, paternal grandparents, a brother and three sisters with kin in Shubert and local area.
